Where does the bedbug come from and how to choose a way to get rid of it

Where does the bed bug come from

Hello! A couple of months ago, my cousin fulfilled an old dream: he moved with his family to his own apartment in a high-rise building.

It seems that the neighbors are good, and the location is excellent. But I recently complained about a serious problem. He began to notice signs of the presence of bugs in the apartment.

It seems that the house is new, and cleanliness is constantly maintained. But these creatures have different ways of penetrating human habitats. Want to know where a bed bug comes from? How to minimize the chances of his appearance in your home? In the material below you will find out all the necessary information.

Where do bed bugs come from in the house?

In all cases, bed bugs are taken in the house from other infected rooms, most often from neighboring apartments. They appear in the house in several ways:

  • Independently come from neighboring housing. An adult bug moves at a speed of about 1 m per minute, it takes no more than an hour to move along the ventilation or external walls from one apartment to another. Bed bugs can penetrate through windows (a mosquito net is not an obstacle for them - having a flattened body, parasites squeeze between its frame and the window frame), entrance doors, in some cases - through the sewer. Bedbugs can enter private houses from sheds, chicken coops, dovecots, attics, basements, and into apartment buildings from heating mains. Outside the limits of human habitation, they feed, attacking birds and small mammals, and when they get into a dwelling, they begin to bite people;
  • Carried with furniture. For the most part, house bugs take shelter for a day in the folds of sofas, under mattresses, at the joints of wooden products of bed frames (hence their common name - furniture). It is sometimes difficult to notice from here (especially when the bugs themselves are few). If such furniture is bought or for other reasons transported to another room, bedbugs also appear with it;
  • They are brought in by people with things from other apartments and houses, sometimes from hotels in vacation spots. In the source of infection, the parasites are attracted to the things themselves by the smell of sweat, confusing them with the victim, crawl into them, find themselves in pockets or folds, and then simply transferred by the person to another apartment or house. This is partly why the bugs themselves are called linen;
  • Carried by people with household appliances and various items in which they hide. The most significant cases are the purchase of system units of computers in which bugs hide in large quantities, attracted by heat from the cooler.

Similarly, parasites can appear in an apartment with a used refrigerator, washing machine, TV and other equipment, toys, books.
Less often, bedbugs are brought by people into the room with paintings, bags and other objects.It is important that in many cases the residents themselves cause the infection of the premises.

Important!
Pets cannot bring bugs into the room. Random guests also do not do this if they do not leave clothes and any household appliances in the apartment.

It is important to remember that bed bugs in the room appear much earlier than they begin to cause inconvenience to humans. As a rule, the first parasites start here in very small quantities - from one adult female to 2-5 accidentally caught bugs of any age - and at first they bite so rarely that people do not notice the bites themselves.

When the residents begin to experience inconvenience and are puzzled by the question of where the bed bugs come from, insects are already firmly established in the apartment and are overgrown with offspring.

How to calculate the room from which they came?

If the tenants of the apartment are sure that the bugs migrated to them from the neighboring apartments, it is necessary to ask the neighbors to check the beds and sofas in their apartments for bugs or signs of their stay.

In case of refusal, it is theoretically possible to write a complaint to the SES and they will oblige the neighbors to admit service workers to the apartment, this business rarely progresses further than the application.

As a rule, if neighbors maintain good relations and communicate with each other in an apartment building, it is easy to find out which apartments are infected. As a rule, the one that is located in the very center of the "cluster" is the source.

It is noteworthy that the residents of the apartment from which the bugs spread around the house may not be aware of the infection of their premises. Some people do not feel the bites of bed bugs at all and do not suspect that parasites that bite them at night live and breed in their house.

As a rule, residents of apartment buildings know which apartments in the neighborhood are dysfunctional - populated by labor migrants, alcoholics and the like. In most cases, it is these apartments that are breeding grounds for bedbugs throughout the house. If all residents of the surrounding apartments write several complaints about such a nursery, there is a possibility that the SES will respond to such complaints.

Why is it important to know where the bedbugs come from in order to get rid of them successfully?

Knowing where bed bugs come from in a particular apartment is important in order to prevent re-infection of the premises after their destruction. If the path of insects into the apartment is not blocked, but just get rid of them once, after a few weeks or months they will appear here again and begin to multiply.

Advice!
Quite calmly, you can fight bugs if you know that they were brought into the room with purchased furniture or household appliances. Such infection is accidental, and if insects are destroyed after it, with proper care of the residents themselves, they will not appear in the house in the future.

It is more difficult if bedbugs come from neighbors, but they cannot get the neighbors to poison them. In this case, it is necessary to block all the pathways of parasite penetration into the apartment: tighten the ventilation ducts with a fine mark, handle the window frames and entrance door frames with special chalks, which will allow poisoning insects when they approach the apartment.

Theoretically, the bugs from a window or door can be scared away by strongly smelling folk remedies - a decoction of tansy or wormwood, vinegar, turpentine, kerosene - however, they should be applied to the bugs regularly, so that they smell strongly. This is not very convenient.

6 main sources of parasites

According to some scientists, bedbugs appeared almost earlier than humans. There is information about how they fought with them in the ancient world. Time has passed, and bed bugs, as it is believed, are not afraid of either radiation or chemicals.

They can live without food for more than a year, so it is not surprising that even in long-abandoned rooms or furniture, especially in sofas, under favorable conditions, bedbugs begin to run wild.

If you have these unpleasant insects, then it is very likely that you will never clean! Or do the cleaning through the sleeves! The bedbugs just became “crowded” with your neighbors, and they decided to look for a new habitat and food.

They will quickly adapt to your housing, find secluded habitats and begin to breed. This is the main reason why bed bugs come from in an old man’s apartment. After all, it’s quite difficult for grandparents to get out.

It’s not at all necessary for them to go to you. You can move on your clothes or bag. We visited somewhere at a party, at work and brought home a "surprise". They can even be brought from a trip. These insects really "love" to travel themselves, moving from place to place on bags, suitcases, on wheels, but you never know what else.

Attention!
Having bought new furniture, many are perplexed and tormented by the question of where the bugs start from in the apartment. So it’s not sterile in a store, warehouse or factory! And the bugs were waiting for the right opportunity to prove themselves. And what can I say, if the furniture was bought from hand, used?

Many of us rent housing. Therefore, when moving from one apartment to another, it is advisable to handle everything, since you can inadvertently grab house bugs to your new home from the old one.

Neighbors can also “help” with migrants. One has only to start repair or persecution, as the insects together want to change owners. They move very quickly and multiply just as quickly. Therefore, it is not surprising that in the short term bed bugs become visibly invisible.

Pets can also be to blame for the appearance of insects, bringing them on themselves. After all, you never know where they stagger!

How do you know what room you share with insects?

It is necessary to inspect the furniture: where the bugs settled, everything around is always dotted with black dots. You can even find larvae and eggs of insects. Most interesting, these insects live not only in sofas and beds.

Also, they do not disdain places under the wallpaper, chiffoniers, all kinds of cracks, do not disdain household appliances, the main thing is to be calm. They themselves will choose the time for active work.

Bed bugs, like cockroaches, are nocturnal animals. Usually they can be seen only at night, and then, if you suddenly turn on the light. Although completely insolent or hungry, they can crawl out during the day. They breed very quickly, a week is enough, which increased their "regiment". It is hard to imagine, but if you do not look after the books, then the insects settle there.

The bugs have a flat body shape and this allows you to penetrate even where. In addition, they are very unpretentious insects that prefer to live near humans. They feed on our blood, and therefore we will never get rid of the annoying neighborhood. Although it is necessary to make every effort to exterminate them.

They are dangerous in that even one female can have large offspring. With an increase in insects, they occupy more and more areas. Therefore, they must be fought against in a timely and regular manner.

Important!
With the appearance of insects in the apartment it starts to smell specifically: either almonds, or stale raspberries. Regarding the smell, everyone has their own associations. Therefore, if there is a smell in the apartment that was not there before, this can only mean that bugs have settled near you.

If you also began to sleep poorly, feeling someone's presence, experiencing itching that is not clear where it came from - it’s bad.

The same means the appearance of strange red spots on the body, which are located in the form of tracks. Here you can see the photos of the bites of bedbugs. Small spots similar to blood are possible, both on bedding and on night clothes.

Remaining cover after molting vile insects.All this should lead to thoughts about bed bugs. At this point, no spring cleaning will help. You need to use chemicals, the best remedies for bedbugs, and you can also use folk methods.

How to prevent their appearance?

So that you do not wonder where the bugs came from, you need to do simple things:

  • more often clean the most dusty places in your apartment, where you rarely look. The more places where a person does not look, the better the bugs;
  • sort through all the old things, soft toys;
  • ventilate the room more often. Insects do not like drafts;
  • arrange sunbathing in the rooms;
  • try to eliminate moisture;
  • carefully inspect new dimensional objects. If necessary, wash them before putting them at home;
  • wash your pets more often.

The main ways of the appearance of bugs in the apartment

If you live in an apartment building, it is very likely that nasty insects crawled into your apartment from neighboring ones. Ways of distribution - cracks, sockets, vents and any narrow spaces into which a cockroach does not crawl, but a bed bug is completely squeezed through. That's where bed bugs in the apartment come from, even if the owners are extremely careful in keeping order.

The search for a new insect shelter can be caused by the departure of residents or disinsection. It is a mistake to think that all adults die: the majority tries to find a secluded and safe place.

If the neighbors warned each other about taking measures to destroy insects, their migration could have been avoided. But bedbugs can get into the house in other ways. There are myths on this subject, but some ways of penetrating "uninvited guests" into the apartment are quite real.

The neighbors brought. The opinion that bed bugs arrived in your apartment on animal clothes has no reason. They make all movements exclusively at night, so a bug can only move from someone else’s clothing to your bed if your neighbor sleeps.

“Arrived” on pets. This situation is quite likely, but we must remember that animals usually spend the night on the street. In addition, they have a thick coat on which insects feel very uncomfortable, so a cat or a dog cannot become a peddler of infection, unless you put them to sleep with you.

Advice!
But bed insects feel great on the skin of bats, parrots and other domestic birds, as well as some types of turtles. Thanks to them, bedbugs may well settle in your house.

"Bought" with the sofa. This is a common situation. When the sofa is in the store, a lot of people come up to it during the day, and it is possible that some of them may have larvae deposited by the female on their clothes. The insects are large, and they are clearly visible, but the same cannot be said for eggs.

A person who comes close to the sofa may not know that he is a breeding ground for infection. So you need to buy furniture with extreme caution!

Hit with bags and suitcases. Bed bugs often appear in the house with a relative who came to stay. But in the place of this relative you yourself may be when you return from a trip abroad.

Blood-sucking insects live in large numbers in hot countries such as India, Thailand, Egypt and Indonesia. It is enough to get on clothes and catch on it with only one female, and consider that you have a ready-made population of bloodsuckers at home.

Of course, a bed bug is hiding in your clothes or bag unknowingly, it gets there by accident, but it does not become less harmful from this. In folds and things there may be not one individual, but several. During an overnight stay at a hotel and a train ride, some of the insects will fall and remain to inhabit the new territory.

After that, other passengers and travelers will spread the breeding individuals around the world.This is how the malicious blood-sucking bugs appear in our apartments.

Brought from a clothing store. If you think that the only place where bugs appear on clothes is the market, then you are deeply mistaken. There are cases when people found bugs on themselves right after visiting a fashion boutique of expensive clothes. They get to such retail outlets either from neighboring premises, or from the clothes of other people during the fitting.

How to understand that you got bed bugs at home?

Characteristic bites are the first sign. If in the morning you see that your hands are covered with chains of red dots, most likely these are bites of earthen fleas or bedbugs. But fleas can be seen during the day, and their absence is a sure sign that it was the bugs that bit you.

Attention!
Brown spots. Dark spots of unknown origin, which suddenly began to appear on furniture, may be traces of blood from crushed insects.

You should be especially careful when buying upholstered furniture, if before that it had been standing in a salon or with other owners for a long time. Be sure to inspect the upholstery from all sides and check to see if there are any suspicious marks on it, or better not to buy sofas and armchairs that were in use at all.

Garbage collection sites. Sometimes in the far corners of the apartment you can find small piles of organic husks. But this garbage only at first glance seems harmless: in the layer of husk there may be eggs carefully laid by the female. Excrement and other waste products of harmful insects will also be present here.

Even if you carefully and regularly clean the apartment, the risk of uninvited guests still remains. The fact is that they like to settle in places where it is very difficult for a person to reach with a rag, mop or vacuum cleaner. Such places are located under ceiling baguettes, baseboards, behind lamps, floor lamps and sconces.

Insects feel very comfortable in bedding, in bags with old papers, documents, books and notebooks, under the folds of the flooring and in any small crevices. The main condition for them is less anxiety and external influences.

If you have definitely made sure that there are bed bugs in the house, the main thing that you can’t do is to do amateur performances. Call the special services who will perform the pest control.

Where do bed bugs come from?

When a person living in a clean and comfortable room finds insect bites on himself, the question arises as to where the bugs in the apartment come from. It is widely believed that any pests can appear only in houses that neglect cleaning, leave garbage and food waste.

In fact, the risk of infection is not directly related to the condition of the home. There are many ways of penetrating such parasites into the house, and they must be known in order to protect themselves.

Migration from neighbors

First of all, when you infect a house with insects, you need to look for a reason from the neighbors, since bed bugs get into the apartment most often from adjacent rooms. Especially often this happens in old apartment buildings or apartment buildings located in the suburbs or rural areas.

Important!
To be able to quickly move, you need to either run fast or fly, but nature has somewhat limited the mobility of bugs. They can only crawl at a speed of about 1 m per minute and plan from the ceiling and walls to the bed.

In addition, they move only in the dark: during the day, parasites sleep and hide from natural enemies, of which there are many. But they are very hardy and can starve for a long time: if necessary, domestic bugs quietly migrate between floors and even from one building to another.

Another strength of these insects is the excellent flexibility of the segmented body. It is flat, from which bugs appear in the apartment, climbing into it through any cracks, even the smallest.

The main migration routes are ventilation shafts, communication cavities in the walls, sockets, slots in the door frames. However, even if you close and fill with foam all the visible vulnerabilities, the bug will always find the entrance to the room.

Bedbugs can leave their neighbors for various reasons:

  1. Ineffective bullying. If neighbors do not destroy the entire population in a short time, but use Dichlorvos or alternative methods of pest control, the insects will immediately move to the entire colony.
  2. Lack of food. If people move out of the infected apartment, insects either fall into suspended animation or migrate. This may not happen, as bugs are carried, guided by the human smell.
  3. Overpopulation. A large colony lacks food, and insects begin to look for additional sources of blood. In this case, they act like cockroaches, sending “scouts” to neighboring apartments. Such a lonely bug, which appeared in a clean apartment, does not pose a threat: it is easy to detect and destroy, preventing massive migration.

Another possibility is internal migration within the same apartment. Bed bugs can go into hibernation from hunger or cold, remaining in secluded places of a clean room or on the balcony.

When favorable conditions come - it gets warmer or new residents move into the house - insects will wake up and begin to multiply. Therefore, when moving into an apartment, it is necessary to carefully check it, even if a professional disinsection was carried out in the room.

Infection through furniture, appliances and other things

A common reason that bugs appear in a house is to buy antiques or just second-hand things. First of all, it is furniture.

The appearance of insects when buying new items is unlikely, but possible: they can live in a warehouse of a furniture store, eating the blood of workers, or simply crawl from the clothes of movers during transportation of the purchase. But the risk is very small.

It is much more likely that insects are carried when buying old things. If the bed was previously used in an infected room, then even after careful processing, insect larvae or adults could remain in its folds.

Therefore, buying sofas, beds or mattresses from the hands is not a good idea. And although for obvious reasons the bugs are likely to be found in the subject on which the person is sleeping, other furniture is also worth checking - cabinets, tables, armchairs.

In the same way, pests can be transmitted through any other things that have been in old houses. Before buying, you need to check books, soft toys, and especially equipment. Bedbugs love to settle in electronics: it is warm, dark and dry. Nothing is insured: computers, televisions and even speakers - everything that has holes in it can be populated by insects or their larvae.

In order not to have to think about where bed bugs in the apartment come from, one should also carefully purchase clothes and bed linen if these items are bought in second-hand clothes.

Advice!
Usually, all goods there are thoroughly washed and boiled, but a lone pest can persist.

Cases of detecting insects on new clothes from good shops are also known: there they appear either from neighboring rooms, or running across from a person living in an infected house when trying on.

How a man brings bugs to the house

Since bed bugs themselves are not the best travelers, it is common for them to use a person and his things as a transport to move to new places of habitat. The easiest way to bring insects from hot countries - Thailand, Egypt, India.

This is facilitated by the fact that economy-class resorts are common in such states - people come to cheap hotels infected with bedbugs, and pests quickly master the suitcases and clothes of tourists.

Due to the popularity of such trips, today there is a real epidemic of bedbug infections: residents of rich countries are transporting insects from third world countries to all corners of the planet, which is why parasites even live in elite houses where they have not heard of them before. In particular, people traveling with hitchhikers, with backpacks, stopping at the cheapest roadside eateries are especially at risk of bringing indoor bed bugs.

In addition, bedbugs can be transferred to the apartment in the following ways:

  • Through the clothes of the guests.
  • Repair workers.
  • From taxis, buses and trains. But the risk of infection is small, because a person spends a little time in transport.

It should be borne in mind that one adult is enough to infect an apartment, if it is a pregnant female. After visiting dubious places, you must definitely check all your belongings and process your clothes.

Animal infection

One of the places where bugs come from is livestock farms mainly with birds or rabbits. This method of infection is quite rare, but exists. Insects will not constantly parasitize animals, since they like human blood more, but they can use animals for resettlement in human dwellings.

Attention!
The bedbug cannot drink the blood of cats, dogs or cattle: either thick coat or thick skin protects them. However, birds and bats can carry them. Therefore, if there are bird nests in the attic of a house, pests can appear in a person’s home.

Thus, bedbugs can be taken in a house from many places. To protect yourself, you must carefully inspect all objects falling into the apartment, avoid visiting infected premises and not sleep in a bed populated by pests.

Signs and causes of bugs in the apartment

Bedbug - an insect of the order of semi-winged, long and successfully parasitizing not warm-blooded animals and humans. Man has long known how bugs smell, since they willingly settle in our homes, regardless of the level of wealth, cleanliness and other parameters that seem important to us, but are absolutely indifferent to insects.

What is

The appearance of the bed bug
The appearance of the bed bug

The size of a bed bug is from 3 to 5mm. It has an incomplete transformation cycle. This means that nymphs hatch from the egg, resembling adults in appearance, but having smaller sizes. Young bugs are lighter, but immediately after birth they begin to suck blood, like adult insects.

The temperature range of the existence of the insect is in the range from -180C to + 490C. This is due to the fact that their homeland is tropical countries, where it is rarely cold. The climate of human dwellings suits the bedbugs as well as possible. That is why they are never found in the wild nature of our region.

The thermophilicity of these parasites allows us to answer the question of whether bugs can live in clothes. If this clothing is never in frost or heat, then it is quite suitable for their life. Bedbugs choose such secluded places as pockets, collar lapels, thick folds, patch parts.

Bedbug bites are very itchy. And those who have hypersensitivity cause allergies. In this case, a hot swelling forms around the bite, nausea, vomiting, and signs of shock may appear. As a result of combing at the site of a bite of the skin, small wounds can form, into which secondary infections easily fall and pyoderma forms.

Among what are dangerous bugs, it should be noted that they tolerate a whole host of extremely unpleasant diseases for humans. Among them, for example:

  1. typhus;
  2. plague;
  3. Hepatitis B;
  4. Q fever
  5. relapsing fever;
  6. leprosy;
  7. tularemia;
  8. yellow fever;
  9. tuberculosis;
  10. filariasis;
  11. leishmaniasis;
  12. syphilis.

This impressive list has been compiled from analyzes of various bug populations.However, evidence that they are able to transmit pathogens from a sick person to a healthy one has not yet been received. In their digestive system, the AIDS virus was also discovered at one time.

Important!
However, it cannot be transmitted through insect excrement to healthy people. But contact with them can cause infection with hepatitis B. This applies to both direct contact and the case of inhalation of the air in which they are located.

The way bugs find a person is an example of their highly sensitive hearing. An insect can detect its prey by the pulsation of blood inside the vessels. Therefore, bedbugs rarely bite pets, unmistakably finding their main victim - a person.

But the answer to the question of whether bugs can live in their hair is negative. They can bite the scalp if it gets in their way, but they don’t live on their victims.

How to breed

To understand where the bugs come from, it is useful to know what their life cycle is. Every day, a mature female is capable of laying up to 5 eggs. In total for life, she is able to produce from 250 to 500 new individuals.

The insect lives about 15 months, and the time from laying an egg from the appearance of a nymph is 30-40 days. How quickly the bugs multiply depends on environmental conditions. In adverse conditions, this time can increase up to 100 days.

Bed bug and its eggs
Bed bug and its eggs

Males of these parasites are also blood-sucking, although they have less appetite than females. Females try to hide their masonry in the folds of furniture fabric or clothing. A new colony is formed around the masonry.

Signs of their presence

The appearance of bugs in the apartment is accompanied by a strong unpleasant odor. If you do not know how to detect bugs in the apartment, look in secluded places. It can be folds of furniture upholstery, the space behind the cabinets and sofas, tightly pushed to the walls. They willingly settle for paintings and mirrors that hang on the walls.

The places where bugs hide in the apartment can be found by the accumulation of these insects, which are called nests. The group usually includes nymphs of all ages and adult insects. In a similar way, bugs settle on clothes, however, here their colonies are rarely numerous.

Another sign is bites. They are arranged in the form of paths - so the insect is looking for a suitable place for itself, sequentially biting through the skin in search of a convenient blood vessel. Mosquitoes resemble bites in terms of pruritus, but unlike them, they are also located on parts of the body protected by a blanket.

And finally, crushed bloodsuckers can be found in bed. Having drunk blood, they become inactive and often die, leaving characteristic brown spots on sheets and pajamas. Here you can find solid small excrement resembling earth and empty chitinous shells, which the nymph dumps during molting.

If the above signs have not yet appeared, then there are few hunters in your house. However, characteristic bites already exist. It's time to spend the night hunting. Their activity falls on the predawn time - from about 3 to 5 in the morning.

If at this time you wake up and examine a pre-bedded white sheet, you can find insects and make sure that it is time to decide what to do if bedbugs are wound up at home.

Where do they come from

There are many places where bed bugs in the apartment come from:

  • Bedbugs from the neighbors. Having appeared in at least one apartment of an apartment building, bloodsuckers quickly multiply and soon begin to migrate in search of new suitable habitats.
  • Hotels and motels. Regardless of status, these places can be a great place to live these insects. Rare cleaning, saving on disinfection, or a tropical location are factors that contribute to their reproduction and getting into the personal belongings of travelers.
  • Former owners of apartments.Buying an apartment is always a pleasant moment. However, before checking in, it is better to make sure that the previous owners did not leave you a present in the form of bedbug nests in furniture, crevices or behind wallpaper.
  • Medical institutions. Often bedbugs come home with an owner who has been treated in a hospital.
  • Public baths and saunas. A very favorable place to live. From here insects willingly settle in the houses of visitors on clothes or in bags and bags with things.
  • On clothes, in a purse or briefcase. Any place inhabited by bugs can cause infection in your home.
  • Furnished. When purchasing furniture from a warehouse or an antique store, keep in mind - under the upholstery there may be bloodsucker nests.

Bed bugs are parasites that are able to move and multiply fairly quickly. These are the reasons for the appearance of bugs in the apartment are the main ones.

Advice!
Once in a new place, they quickly populate it and begin to spread through neighboring rooms. Knowing where the bugs live in the apartment, you can team up with neighbors and conduct pest control together. Then it will be much more effective.

Knowing how to find a nest of bugs in an apartment, you can get rid of bloodsuckers much faster. Living these insects in groups greatly facilitates disinfection, as in the daytime they hide in the same place, chosen by the founders of the group.

How to prevent reappearance

After the disinfection is carried out, I want the unpleasant insects to never appear in the apartment again. Competent prevention is impossible without knowing why bugs appear in the apartment. Here is a short list of preventive measures to protect your home from being repopulated by bugs:

  • Thorough inspection of suitcases and other baggage after trips and travels.
  • Regular treatment with repellents of ventilation hatches (the main way how bugs get into the apartment from neighbors), and with insecticides - all the cracks in the walls.
  • Adding insecticides to wallpaper glue will prevent the reproduction of insects behind the wallpaper.
  • Mandatory washing in boiling water of all items brought from places of potential infection.
  • Freezing or steaming antique furniture immediately after purchase.
  • These methods will prevent the return of bugs to your home and will relieve you of them forever.

Where do bed bugs in an apartment come from and how to get rid of them yourself?

Bed bugs in the apartment start imperceptibly, but spread with terrible speed. The female of one bed bug in her entire life lays several hundred eggs, of which new parasites appear after a short time.

Over time, you won’t notice such a neighborhood: bites cause a lot of inconvenience, they itch, itch, and can cause allergic reactions.

The most important thing in the fight against parasites is to find out the causes and sources of infection. They can be:

  • neighbors;
  • new furniture or appliances;
  • suitcase;
  • clothes;
  • Pets.

If suddenly these unpleasant insects were found in the house, think about where they could come from. Perhaps this is due to the neighbors.

Bed bugs are able to migrate not only from room to room, but from one apartment building to another, overcoming fairly large distances in the yard.

Bed bugs are often found in used appliances and furniture. There they like to make nests, hide from a person in the daytime. If suddenly, shortly before the bites began to appear, a purchase was made - immediately disassemble and check for parasites.

Attention!
It is possible to bring a bug from a hotel room. Very often hotel owners in resort towns do not even suspect such "residents". It is enough to take one female with you - and after a short period of time in the apartment there will be a whole colony of bloodsuckers.When creating favorable conditions, the larvae will appear already on the 5th day.

There were times when bedbugs were brought into the house by the owners or guests themselves - on clothes or shoes. Most often, infection with parasites occurs during repairs that hired workers do. On duty, they have to be in different apartments, from where it is quite realistic to bring several individuals on clothes.

Pets have every chance to bring an insect to their house on their wool. And if the animals themselves will not be attacked by bloodsuckers, then a person will certainly be doomed to bites. For information, bedbugs do not disdain the neighborhood with hens or rabbits. They bite them in places near the eyes where there is no hair.

The neighborhood with bedbugs is unlikely to please anyone. Man has always looked for the most effective methods to combat these parasites. If the source of infection is not neighbors, it will really get rid of the insects by its own efforts.

Before using insecticides, it is necessary to carefully examine all the secluded places and get rid of bedbugs and their nests mechanically. To do this, you need to make mattresses, bedding, pillows on the street and clean it manually. All that can be washed and boiled is washed and boiled.

The first proven folk method of getting rid of parasites is vinegar. With a weak vinegar solution, it is necessary to process all cracks, cracks, plinths. A feature of the use of this acid is that it is harmless to humans. A short airing is enough to make the landlord feel comfortable in the treated room.

Also, everyone knows that bedbugs are afraid of low and high temperatures. In the winter season, an infected apartment can be left with windows open for a couple of days. Or conduct heat treatment with steam or boiling water. This must be done very carefully, without missing any secluded places where parasites can hide.

If alternative methods of control have proved ineffective, some modern insecticides can be used. These include:

  1. Chlorophos.
  2. Karbofos.

These products are available in the form of an aerosol and emulsion. They should treat all surfaces and places of the alleged location of parasites. They are one of the most effective drugs. During the processing of the premises with these poisons, every insect will die.

Important!
However, it should be remembered that it is only necessary to carry out the procedures in a respirator, and after that do not go into the apartment for several hours, otherwise there is a risk of breathing poisonous fumes and get poisoning.

All these methods have their pros and cons. Each person chooses what methods he will fight with insects. The main thing in the fight against bedbugs is regularity. If after the initial treatment the bites did not stop, you should not despair and repeat the disinsection.
